The story Monkey King’s Party is an adaptation of a story from a Chinese epic novel called Journey to the West, written in the 16th century by Wu Cheng’en. The main character Sūn Wùkōng, also known as Monkey King, travels west with a Buddhist monk, Xuanzang, encountering various adventures along the way.
