We explore what life is like for street children around the world and how the beautiful game is giving them new hope.

Millions of children around the world face the daily struggle and misery of life on the streets. In shanty towns and areas of extreme poverty, children have to leave their homes because their families can’t afford to look after them, or family relationships have broken down. Often their parents split up, the father moves out and the mother simply can’t cope. The children have to go out to work at a young age to contribute to the family income, or are forced out completely.
