Amadeus Jones – radio play 1

Radio play

Visit a 1940s fish and chip shop with our time-travelling hero Amadeus Jones.

Listen to the radio play then send the children on a fact-finding mission to find out more about the history and tradition of one of the UK’s national dishes and the role it played in World War II.

This version is slightly shorter and has more accessible language than version 2.

Use alongside the ‘Chip off the old block’ lesson in the Food topic.
