This whiteboard resource will help explain some of those tricky homophones and other confusable words... and offers a little bit of valuable advice about not letting your pen work faster than your head.

Also listed are some of those ‘word words’ that are useful to know when we are discussing our and other people’s writing.

Challenge the children to come up with their own example sentences containing homophones.
